Port Blair, Oct 15: SCAS Coaching Centre, the pioneering institute for JEE/ AIPMT/ ANIPMT coaching centre in PORT BLAIR, conducted a felicitation program for its students who have qualified for ANIPMT-2015.
ANIIMS, the premier academic Institute of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is aimed at establishing excellence in these islands had conducted its Entrance Exam in this academic year for its 85 seats for islanders in various categories. Adding a feather to its success journey altogether 33 students from SCAS had qualified and made it to the merit list.
The felicitation program was held in Sun Sea Resort, Middle point on 13th October form 6-7.30pm.
Retd. Major. Gen. RP Choubey, VSM, Director ANIIMS presided the function and Retd. Col. Rajan Bhatnagar, HOD (Anatomy) ANIIMS, and Shri. Lucas Robert, Principal DIET was the Guest of Honours.
Mr.Sreekumar, Faculty SCAS welcomed the gathering and highlighted the evening’s program.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Retd. Major.Gen.RP Choubey, VSM, Director ANIIMS said that education is one of the most important components which is necessary for development of a society and called upon the parents and students to work harder for a better society. He also congratulated SCAS coaching center for its tremendous feat. He called upon the upcoming students to work hard. He also motivated the students form Nicobari community to come forward succeed in the exams such as AIPMT/ ANIPMT.
The guest of honour Retd. Col Rajan Bhatnagar HOD (anatomy) ANIMS also congratulated the qualified students and urge them to keep up their hard work and become a better doctor in future. He also motivated the upcoming students to work hard and provided tips for cracking medical entrance exams.
Sri Lucas Robert congratulated the students and thanked the Andaman and Nicobar Administration for opening up medical college in Port Blair and giving opportunity to the students of these islands to pursue MBBS in Port Blair. He also appreciated SCAS Coaching for taking initiative to guide and giving coaching to Nicobari community and providing them with special concession in coaching.
Speaking on the occasion the Director SCAS, Mr. Sanjay Singh gave a brief report on the achievement of SCAS and said that SCAS will always be working for the Island students and will always be guiding the students to achieve their goal. Adding to the reference given by the Director, One of the faculty Mr.V.N.Rao shared his views and experience and projected the commitment of SCAS management to guide the Nicobari community. Finally the occasion ended with the vote of thanks by Director S.C.Nevin.
