Diglipur, October 05: As part of 61st wild life week the Department of Forest, Andaman & Nicobar Administration organized a car rally from Port Blair to Diglipur.
The rally started on 3rd Oct at 7am and reached Diglipur on 4th Oct.
Numerous Wildlife awareness programs like nukkad natak were organized by the Forest Department at Baratang, Kadamtala, Rangat, Betapur, Billiground, Kishorinagar.
The rally reached Keralapuram this evening and presented cultural programmes and nukkad natak. Local public, tourists and Staff of Forest Department witnessed the event.
The Pradhan Keralapuram Panchayat, Mr Shankar Das welcomed the gathering. DFO Diglipur, BDO Diglipur Smti.Lalita Tigga, ZP member J Boby Spoke on wild life awareness.
The Car rally was sponsored by Agency House.
Speaking on this occasion Agency house Spokesman Mr.Tanvir said that the main purpose of this sponsorship is to aware the villages all the way about wildlife preservation and active participation in Wildlife preservation.
