PORT BLAIR: The bi-annual event of the Navy – Mid Year Refit Review and infrastructure Review 2015 (MYRR-15 & MYIR-15) was conducted at Andaman & Nicobar Command on Tuesday. The review was chaired by the Chief of Material, Vice Admiral AV Subhedar, AVSM, VSM and delegates from IHQ MoD (Navy) and from Vishakhapatnam based Eastern Naval Command of the Navy and delegates of HQ ANC attended the event.
The Commander-in-Chief, A & N Command, Vice Admiral P K Chatterjee, PVSM, AVSM, NM, inaugurated the event, which was aimed at finalizing the repair/refit activities of the HQANC and HQENC based ships and submarine. The upcoming Naval infrastructure at Port Blair and other Islands was also reviewed. Apart from Naval delegate, representatives from M/s HSL, Vishakhapatnam, M/s L&T, Chennai also participated in the event. The MYRR-15 and MYIR-15 is expected to bring forth the repair activities plan for the Naval assets at ANC and ENC for the next 3 years and various infrastructure projects at Andaman Nicobar Islands, a release says.
