Port Blair, Sept 08: On 07/09/15, a case of night burglary was reported at Police Station Mayabunder by an electronics repair shop owner of Mayabunder Bazaar upon which a case of night burglary was registered. It is pertinent to mention here that at 0400 hrs on 07/09/15, a night patrolling team of PS Mayabunder headed by PSI Shibendra Halder under the supervision of Inspr. Abdul Sajid, SHO PS Mayabunder apprehended one minor boy aged 17 yrs. with house breaking implements and was subsequently handed over to his parents at Pokkadera with proper counseling. Soon after the registration of the aforesaid case, the said minor boy was subjected to enquiry/questioning by SI P.K.Pandey, Child Welfare Officer of PS Mayabunder.
Enquiry into the matter is in progress and social background report of the Juvenile in-conflict with law will be submitted before the Juvenile Justice Board.
The general public is advised to report any incident of theft/burglary with the local police so that such crimes could be stopped.
