Port Blair, August 30: A car coming from Wandoor, today went off the road at Kalapathar area of Sippighat. According to eye witnesses the car was driven by a defence jawan, who lost control over his vehicle while coming downhill and went to the wrong side of the road before going off the main road.
Eyewitnesses also said that the person was under influence of liquor. On information a team of police reached the spot immediately. However no one suffered any injuries in the accident, it is learnt. The car, Tata Indigo, bearing registration number GA08 E 5943 suffered minor damages.
