Port Blair, Aug 31: A special drive against gambling has been conducted during the month of August, 2015 in South Andaman Sub Division in connection with forthcoming Municipal/Panchayat Election. Total 05 raids were conducted in different places, 18 persons were arrested and an amount of Rs.82,835/-were seized from their possession alongwith playing cards. All the arrested persons were booked under A & N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1951.
