Port Blair, Aug 11: The Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman along with Sub-Divisional Magistrate of South Andaman District conducted a joint inspection of Bambooflat and Wimberlygunj villages and identified suitable plots for construction of Parking lots for public transport services such as Taxis, Autos, Jeeps, Buses etc. plying in the area.
The Parking lots in these places was a long pending demand of the citizens of the area. The establishment of Parking lots will not only provide adequate place for parking of these vehicles but also ease the heavy vehicular traffic being caused due to road side parking of these vehicles.
