Port Blair, Aug 10: Mr. Rajesh Malik, IPS officer, AGMUT 1986 batch, who is presently posted as Special Commissioner (Provisioning) of Delhi Police will take over as new Director General of Andaman and Nicobar Police. The present DGP, Mr. Sudhir Yadav will be given farewell parade on 16 August 2015 and it is expected that on 17 August Mr. Rajesh Malik will take over DGP’s charge.
Mr. Sudhir Yadav, IPS officer AGMUT 1985 batch is popular and well respected by entire police force for his welfare measures for police personnel and development of police infrastructure in Andaman. Mr. Sudhir Yadav is also known for his efforts to reach out to general public to spread awareness about sensitive issues like alcoholism, child abuse and crime against women.
