Port Blair, Aug 6: The Adhyaksha, South Andaman Zilla Parishad, has highlighted the issue of irregular supply of LPG refills in Bambooflat, Wimberlygunj and other areas of Ferrargunj tehsil. At a meeting with the Chief Secretary, Ms Mariyam said that consumers in the region are facing hardships due to irregular distribution of LPG cylinders without any pre-defined schedules. After booking their refills, residents have to wait for days for obtaining the cylinders in their locality, she said. The Chief Secretary is stated to have assured to look into the issue on priority and instruct concerned authorities to take necessary steps to streamline LPG distribution in the area.
