Port Blair, July 12: The Traffic Police department and South Andaman unit of Andaman and Nicobar Police have taken the responsibility of cleaning Corbyn’s Cove and North Bay beach.
According to reports, on every Saturday a team of Traffic Police department will clean the Corbyn’s Cove beach and a team of Police Department, South Andaman will clean the North Bay beach.
The cleanliness drives in both the beaches have started from last Saturday.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr M Umar said that as part of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan the Police Departments has taken this step under the guidance of the Director General of Police and ANP will continue doing this cleanliness drives in future too.
“As both Corbyn’s Cove and North Bay beaches are one of the best tourist spots, it is everyone’s responsibility to keep these beaches clean all the time,” Mr Umar added.
