Port Blair, June 18: In a first, the Wimberlygunj Educational Zone conducted a Football Summer Coaching Camp in collaboration with Department of Sports and State Sports Council for the students in the age group under 14 years and 17 years at Mini Stadium, Wimberlygunj. Altogether, 100 students attended the camp which started on May 5, 2015.
Intensive training was imparted from 6 am to 9 am by Mr L. Joseph (Football Coach) from State Sports Council. The children were specialized in various approaches and techniques of the game. Certificates and prizes were distributed to the children on the closing ceremony by Mr Gyan Sheel Dubey-DEO, Mr O.Hassainar-AIOS and Mr Joy Pinto-BSO. The best participants Johnson (Under14) and Aziz(U-17) were presented with mementoes. Mr Gyan Sheel Dubey expressed gratitude to Mr L. Joseph for donating sports kit to two participants.
