Port Blair, June 12: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament A & N Islands vide his letter No.03/BPR/MP/ANI/HM/2015/872 dated 09.06.2015 has taken up a long pending issue of the employees of Official language department of A&N Administration with the Ministry of Home Affairs for creation of various category of post under the Official language Department.
It is further informed that as per Official language Rule, 1976, the A & N Administration has been declared “A” region and thereby all the official works are to be dealt only in “Hindi”. But due to shortage of staff in the strength of Official language (the Hindi working employee), the different departments of the A&N Administration are facing difficulties to carry out the official works in Hindi and to achieve the 100% results.
Further it is reported that, due to limited sanctioned strength in the Official language (Hindi) department of Administration, the existing staffs appointed for the Official language cadre in the long back are stagnating with their respective grade of post of initial appointment without any promotional avenues.
Considering the long pending legitimate demands, Mr. Ray, MP has requested the Director (ANL),Ministry of Home Affairs for accepting the long pending legitimate demands of A & N Administration for creation post as proposed by the Administration vide Letter No.34-1/OL/2010/118 dated 30.10.2014.
