Avail facility of ADHAAR based ‘Jeevan Praman’ portal for Life Certificate : CGDA

Port Blair, May 14: The Controller General of Defence Accounts, Mr. Arvind Kaushal, IDAS today advised pensioners to avail the facility of ADHAAR based ‘Jeevan Praman’ portal for Life Certificate and toll free number of Pension Cell Centre for resolving grievance. He also assured that ‘One Rank One Pension’ is likely to be implemented soon.
In his inaugural address Mr. Kaushal informed the pensioners about the website of PCDA (Pensions), Allahabad, Project SUVIGYA for calculation of pension by the pensioners, Project SANGAM where revised PPOs were issued to all pre-2006 pensioners.
Earlier, Mr. Kaushal inaugurated two days Defence Pension Adalat at Dweepika Auditorium, Haddo here this morning. He lit the ritual oil lamp to mark the inauguration of the Adalat. One Bench of the Adalat will also be held at Campbell Bay on 15th May 2015.
The Adalat is being organized by the Office of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Navy), Mumbai under the aegis of the Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi in consultation with the Ministry of Defence.
Earlier, in the welcome address, Mr. Rakesh Sehgal, PCDA (Navy) elaborated the history of Defence Pension Adalat and mentioned that the 131st Defence Pension Adalat being held for the first time in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The COS (ANC), Mag. Gen. Siwach addressed the issues related to the awareness of pensioners towards their pensionery entitlements and emphasized on timely processing of case.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Smt Molly Sengupta, Addl. CDA (Navy) where the help & support extended by the HQ (ANC) was appreciated.
Maj. Gen. Siwach, COS (ANC), Mr. K. Natarajan, IG, Commander, Coast Guard, Port Blair, Mr. Kamal Chowdhery, IDAS, CDA (IDS), Mr. P.L. Negi, IDAS, IFA (ANC), Mr. J.P. Pandey, IDAS, CDA (Pension), Addl. CDA (ANC), Addl. CDA (Navy), Dy. IFA (ANC), ACDA (ANC) and other Officers of Defence Accounts Department and various Executive Officers from HQrs ANC, Coast Guard, Banks, RSB, Civil Administration were present on the occasion.
