Port Blair, May 11 : The Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry held an interaction meeting with Mr. John Victor, Area Manager, Jet Airways (India) Ltd. during his visit to these Islands on 8th May 2015 at Chamber’s Conference Hall.
Mr. Girish Arora, President, Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry requested to introduce special fare for the Islanders increase baggage allowance for the Islanders and extend corporate fare to this sector also. During the meeting various problems faced by the people of these Islands in getting tickets for proceeding to mainland were highlighted.
Mr. John Victor assured that the matter will be placed at the appropriate level and Jet Airways will extend all possible help in resolving the problem it has also been pointed out to connect Port Blair with International destinations.
On this the Manager informed that this will be placed at the appropriate level and a favorable decision will be taken in the matter.
