Port Blair, Apr 24: A delegation of Andaman & Nicobar Branch of Indian Pharmacist Association led by its National President, Shri. Abhay Kumar , State General Secretary Shri Ajay Kumar Gupta, State Organizer Shri.Rajeev Singh and Shri.Nokkaiah met Dr. Shipra Paul, the Director of Health Services, Andaman & Nicobar Administration in her chamber today evening. Besides greeting her on taking the charge of DHS, the IPA branch has demanded the regularization of 12 Pharmacist working under the DHS on ad-hoc basis since 2008, filling up of the 28 vacant post of Pharmacist by recruiting from the local registered Pharmacist under DHS.
The IPA branch also requested that any recovery under the MACP already granted to the Pharmacist may be withheld as the matter is sub-judicious and the matter is pending in the Hon’ble Delhi High Court. The DHS, Dr.(Mrs.) Shipra Paul gave a patience hearing to the delegation and assured of taking suitable action.
