Port Blair, Feb 24: It has been observed that vehicle owners are violating various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Rules framed there under by indulging in unauthorised, rash and negligent driving of motor vehicles. The owners and motor vehicle drivers are once again advised to abide by the law and drive the motor vehicles in a careful and proper manner to avoid accidents and traffic chaos.
The enforcement drive against violations of the provisions has started. All drivers/motor vehicle owners are warned to strictly follow these provisions or face penal action as given above.
This will apply to both transport (commercial) vehicles and non-transport (private) vehicles.
