Port Blair, Dec 07: The Annual Home Guard Day was celebrated with enthusiasm yesterday at Parade Ground, Police Lines. There was an impressive display of parade by 4 platoons of the Home Guards including one platoon of lady Home Guards.
On this occasion, Mr. Sudhir Yadav, IPS, DGP, A&N Islands took the salute of the parade and addressed the gathering. The DGP appreciated the Home Guard Volunteers for performing their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication specially during their deployments in the far-flung and isolated islands. On this occasion, senior officers and other ranks of A&N Police and Home Guard volunteers were present.
