Mayabunder, Nov 24: A Multi Purpose Anganwadi Centre, Mayabunder ICDS Project, Rangat, building constructed by Panchayat Samity Mayabunder during the year July 2005 is functioning without electricity even today.
Around 74 children are compelled to sit inside the nursery, which virtually turns into an oven during sunny days.
One of the parents of the children told our reporter that the kids are facing untold difficulties due to non availability of fans and lights. It is surprising that the Anganwadi is situated in the heart of the district headquarter of Middle and North Andaman.
