Port Blair, Nov.21, Gyan Kendra, Goalghar, Port Blair is observing “Silver Jubilee Celebration cum Felicitation” function on 23rd Nov.2014 at Auditorium of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, (DBRAIT) Dollygunj, Port Blair. The Director General of police, A&N islands is the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Gyan Kendra is a centre of competitive learning which has been functioning in the private sector for the past 25 years. But nevertheless, its contribution towards development of ‘Education’ of this island is undoubtedly praise-worthy. This centre is playing a pivotal role for providing “Quality Education “for society for which credit goes to the entire team of the Kendra in general and Shri Gyan Sharma in particular.
Gyan Kendra was a brain child of Shri R. S. Sharma a retired Govt. Teacher of A & N Administration who was awarded with the much coveted medal from the Hon’ble President of India in the year 1994 and recipient of Hon’ble Lt. Governor’s commendation certificate for his exceptional endowments in the field of Education.
Gyan Kendra was founded in 1989 with the commitment for developing student competence and confidence in their physics subject started its efforts for imparting special coaching classes. With the efflux of time Gyan Kendra became the only coaching centre to be opted by most of the Physics student of Port Blair. Later it started classes for the student eager for taking competitive examination like IIT, JEE, AIEEE, NDA, AIPMT etc. and thenceforth, all the JEE Toppers of these island are none but the producers of Gyan Kendra.
