Mayabunder, Nov 17: Every year November 17 is celebrated as World Toilet Day but in places like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Construction and cleanliness of Toilet Blocks is perhaps given last priority.
For example, the toilet block of Anganwadi of Mahila Mandal at Mayabunder is in a dilapidated condition and not in use since years. Around 30 students attending the Aganwadi face difficulty while responding to Nature’s Call. Sadly the Angawadi is situated at the heart of Mayabunder, which is said to be the District Headquarter of North and Middle Andaman.
