Port Blair, Sept 08: A major fire was averted by Fire Service Jawans at Dairy Farm Basti today evening. According to reports, a fire was reported at around 6.26 pm and within minutes two Fire Tender and one water Bowser reached the spot and Fire Service Jawans under the supervision of Inspector SS Khan, controlled fire within 34 minutes. In thickly populated area like Daily Farm such Fire would have resulted in a disaster.
