Port Blair, Sept. 05: The A & N State Cooperative Bank Ltd. has orgainsed a loan disbursement mela for the Self Help Groups (SHGs) of Port Blair and its surrounding area in a simple function organised at the Conference Hall of the bank. Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director of the bank disbursed loans to a total of 7 SHGs aggregating to the loan amount of ` Rs. 25.25 lakhs. The programme was also attended by Shri. T Subramanian, General Manager (Dev.). At the beginning, Smt. Elizabeth Mary, Women Development Officer of the bank graced the gathering and appraised the details of SHGs and the various activities undertaken by the Self help groups.
