Port Blair, August 28: State Bank Of India, Nancowrie Branch organised a MEGA Account Opening Camp at our Branch to launch Government of India’s ambitious project on financial inclusion under PRADHAN MANTRI JAN DHAN YOJNA. Chief Guest, Shri.Casper James, Assistant Commissioner, Nancowrie was the Chief Guest and the Guest of honour was Smt.Aysha Majid,Chairperson,Tribal Council,Nancowrie.
Shri. M.Suresh, Branch Manager, SBI Nancowrie Branch welcomed the gathering and highlighted about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna. It would enable every household to have access to banking services. Today 36 accounts were opened at SBI Nancowrie Branch and passbooks have been handed over to the valued customers by Shri.Casper James,Assistant Commissioner,Nancowry and Smt.Aysha Majid,Chairperson Tribal Council,Nancowry. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Smt.P.Renu,Assistant of SBI.
