Port Blair, Aug 22: In connection with the ensuing Bye-Elections for the vacancies created due to resignation and death of the PRI members, the Dry Day shall be observed on Aug 24 & 25 at Gram Panchayat Mithakari under Ferrargunj Tehsil and Little Andaman Tehsil.
The liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and establishments selling/serving liquor situated within the mentioned Gram Panchayats/Tehsil shall remain closed and shall not be permitted to sell/serve liquor to anyone whosoever on Aug 24 and on the day of counting on Aug 25.
The order is applicable to IMFL vending licencees i.e. ANIIDCO, CSD Canteen, all Defence Canteens, Police Mess and all private bars licencees, if any, functioning at the said places, a communication from the Dy. Commissioner, South Andaman District said here today.
