Rangat, Aug 11: For common man the police department is always ready with challan slips but what about top officers? Here is a photograph, taken recently, of the vehicle of Assistant Commissioner Rangat parked at the middle of the road, when the Assistant Commissioner had gone for shopping in Rangat Bazaar.
This is not the first time when the vehicle was parked in such a way at the middle of the road, obstructing traffic.
When public reported this matter to Andaman Sheekha unit at Rangat the Rangat Correspondent reached the spot and took photographs.
However, instead of respecting public sentiments and the law of the land, the driver of the AC’s vehicle became furious and next day met the Correspondent of AS and used unparliamentarily language for media.
“I am AC’s driver and AC ranked officers have different protocol and powers. Go and Complain to LG or DGP, I don’t care,” said the driver.
This is a small issue but shows the mindset of law abusers towards the law, media and general public. Andaman Sheekha does not demand any action against the driver but the AC of Rangat must show some respect for law next time by parking his vehicle in designated parking place or should allow everyone in Rangat to park vehicles right at the middle of road.
