Mayabunder, Mar 27: The Mayabudner Police have arrested two person, including one driver of STS while he was stealing fuel from Mayabunder Express bus.
On 25 March, following a tip off a police team under the Supervision of Dy.S.P North Andaman, Mr. K Murlidharan Pillai conducted a raid and caught the STS driver, Mr. Jawahar Singh and his aide Mr. Tyagarajan, while they were transferring fuel from STS bus to two 20 ltr jericanes.
Both were presented in the court from where they were sent to Judicial Custody yesterday.
According to report the STS Bus had reached Mayabunder from Port Blair on 25 March and was parked at road side, near Kokodera workshop, at night.
Sources told Andaman Sheekha that though the STS driver has been sent to the Judicial Custody but till now the Transport Department has not initiated any disciplinary action against the driver.
