Port Blair, June 11: The Lt Governor has asked for a fresh look at Draft Annual Plan prepared by different Departments and cleared by District Planning Committees as, in the meanwhile, suggestions have been received from the Member of Parliament, members of the PRIs and others on certain schemes/projects and allocations thereof.
The Lt Governor has emphasized that plan proposals must necessarily reflect the need and aspirations of the people of the Islands. Accordingly, all Secretaries/HODs would be incorporating the modifications after the District Planning Committees make their recommendations. The Planning Department asked for revised proposals to be submitted by the 24th of June, 2014. Thereafter, the draft annual plan will be placed before the full meeting of the State Planning Board.
