Port Blair, June 08: Heavy rain and Strong wind has forced as many as three flights from Mainland India to return back, in last three days, even after the flights had entered Andaman’s airspace.
According to report here today the aircraft of Jet Airways had to return back to Chennai while due to unfavourable wind while on Friday Aircrafts of Air India from Chennai and JetLite from Kolkata had to go back due to heavy rain.
Today for some moment there was total chaos at Airport, when passengers who were supposed to leave for Chennai at 13.05 hours by Jet Airways flights were informed that their flights had to return back due to bad weather.
Fuming passengers, many of whom had connecting flights, from Chennai, were however not able to digest such excuse as according to them all other flights of other airlines had landed safely at Airport in same weather conditions.
The officials of Jet Airways however tackled the situation well by sending passengers, having connecting flights, to mainland by other Aircraft, which had landed safety at Port Blair. Other passengers have now been given seat in tomorrow’s Spice Jet flight. Passengers, who had already got their boarding card, also alleged that the Airlines Company did not even provide them accommodation for today at Port Blair.
