Billyground, June 06: Patients Admitted in the male ward of PHC Billyground, are having sleepless nights these days because they have been made to sleep inside a ward, where the ceiling may collapse anytime.
According to reports the ceiling caved-in a few days back following which, as a temporary measure the ceiling was fixed with the support of two logs but neither the ceiling was repaired nor patients were shifted by the hospital authority.
“We all are so scared. We feel as if the ceiling will collapse on our head if we close our eyes. We can’t even sleep,” said a patient.
PRI members allege that several occasions in past they had requested the concerned authorities to repair the medical wards of PHC Billyground or upgrade the complete hospital but they requests fell in deaf ears.
“Now we have decided to write an open letter to the Lt. Governor regarding this issue,” said an angry PRI member of Billyground region.
Hope that the Administration and Health Department will do something for the safety of the patient before patients falls victim of a major accident.
