Port Blair, May 13: A delegation of the executive Committee of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by its President, Mr. G. Bhasker went for an official visit to the Havelock Island on Saturday the 10th May 2014 and held its meeting at resort TSG Blue.
During their stay at Havelock on Sunday the 11th May 2014, the chamber organized and participated in a Beach Cleaning program between 8 am to 1 pm with the support of the departments of police, forest, local hoteliers and foreign tourists in the Kalapather, Radhanagar, jetty area and No.5. A total of four trucks garbage, which includes plastic and glass bottles were collected and transported to the designated garbage dumping area. The chamber would like to thank Mr. B. Saigal, DySP, Mr. A.K.Paul, DFO and Mr. Bennet Jacob (Mr. Benny) and his team for their support. Mr. Benny had taken a lead had and arranged all logistics including refreshment for the Western tourists.
