Port Blair, Feb 20: All Health Department Staff such as, Word Attendant, Safai Karmachari, Ayahas, Laboratory Staff, Ophthalmic Staff, Technicians, Pharmacists, Malaria mazdoors, Drivers, Mechanical & Store, Section Staff, Radiographer, Peons, Laundry Employees etc. have performed their duties in Hospitals, PHCs, CHCs and Sub Centers etc. including inter-islands today i.e, 20.02.2014 by wearing Black Batch in protest against A&N Administration for taking abnormal time to accord approval for implementation of Hospital Patient Allowance / Patient Care Allowance (HPCA/PCA), which was already approved by Union Cabinet, DOPT and Ministry of health and family welfare, new Delhi.
On 17.12.12. The Protest was conducted the leadership of Mr. P.Kannan, President , Govt. Employees Federation. The employees were also taken a mourn procession carrying a Cardboard Box written with “Patient Care Allowance file Dead and kept in Mortuary and a postmortem will be done on 24.02.2014”. The procession was started from GB Pant Hospital to Aayush Hospital today afternoon and ended at Mortuary of GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair. The Employees will continue their protest till the approval is accorded by A&N Administration. Further, the employees will go on “Pen Down Shows” w.e.f. 24.02.2014.
