Diglipur, Jan 20: One physically challenged person has been arrested by police today for causing grievous injuries to a resident of Lamia Bay of Diglipur. According to reports Mr. Mukesh Kerketta, S/o Murugesh Kerketta a resident of Lamia Bay Diglipur was attacked by one Saw Bonny, a retired Deputy Ranger, with a spear on his back and head.
Mr. Saw Bonny had lost his right leg long back and was living with the mother of Mukesh Kerketta in the house of Mukesh.
“Mukesh had asked Saw Bonny to leave the house, which was probably the reason behind this attack. A case under section 307 IPC has been registered in this regard against Saw Bonny,” Mr. Chinmoy Biswas the Superintendent of Police N & M Andaman told Andaman Sheekha today.
It is note-worthy that Saw Bonny has past criminal records. The father of Mukesh Kerketta had died under mysterious circumstances and his body was found in sea.
