Port Blair, Jan 02: The Evening Counter meant for extended banking transaction hours of A & N State Coop. Bank, Port Blair Branch was inaugurated on 1st January, 2014 by Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman at SCB, Port Blair branch in presence of Shri. Haren Roy, Director, ANSCB, Shri. Ravinder Rao, MD, Shri. K Murugan, CGM, Bank officials, staff members and a large gathering of esteemed customers of the Bank including general public.
Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director welcomed the Chief Guest and all other guest present on the occasion. He appraised and informed the customers and public present over there that now the Port Blair shall function as Day Counter (Mon-Fri at 8.00 am to 1.30 pm & on Saturday at 8.00 am to 11.00 am) and Evening Counter (Mon-Fri at 2.00 pm to 6.30 pm & on Saturday at 11.30 am to 2.30 pm) with uninterrupted banking services by the Port Blair branch of Cooperative Bank from morning 8 am to 6.30 pm. It is first of its kind in the Island.
He appreciated the efforts and contribution of all the staffs and assured customers that such facilities shall be introduced in other branches also in coming days. He informed the customers that Bank is already in CBS platform and RTGS/NEFT facilities shall most probably be started from the last week of January and the ATM services will also be opened for customers in the mid of February 2014.
Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the Bank in his key note address urged all the customers and general public to take maximum benefit of the extended banking hours. He also informed that the Bank shall continue to strive for excellence in rendering services to the people. The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Shri. K Murugan, CGM.
