Port Blair, Dec 13: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association in cooperation with the Andaman and Nicobar Chess Association will be organizing the NGOs’ Association Diamond Jubilee Chess Tournament on 14th and 15th December, 2013 at Hotel TSG Emerald View, Phoenix Bay, Port Blair. The Chess Tournament is being organized as part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The tournament will be held in four categories – under 19 (for boys and girls), under 14 (for boys and girls), under 08 (for boys and girls) and open to all.
The inaugural function of the two day chess tournament will be held at 2 p.m. which will be followed by the tournament at the TSG Emerald View, Phoenix Bay. Dr. R.N.Prasad, Deputy Director of Education (Admn.)will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural function. Government employees, family members of govt. employees, students and others will participate in the two day chess tournament under various categories.
