Port Blair, Nov 18: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt Governor to consider play grounds under all panchayats for the welfare of the youths of these islands. In his letter Kuldeep has stated that if the youths of these islands are given proper opportunity, they can prove themselves at National level in all the fieldsof sports. The young sportsperson of these islands have already proved their capability in many such events at National level. Kuldeep has further stated in his letter that in case these youths are given a weldeveloped play ground where they can practice football, cricket and badminton etc, it is sure that they will not only be encouraged in sports but will bring fame for the islands and at the same time their energy will not go waste on gossiping, unfruitful works etc.
Hence earnest request has been submitted to the Lt Governor by the PCC President to consider well developed playgrounds under all
Panchayats of these Islands for playing football, cricket, hockey and a room within the complex for playing indoor games like table tennis
and badminton so that the youths can find suitable place for playing these games, and also the opportunity to get trained under able
coaches.
