Port Blair, Nov 10: The Directorate of Census Operations has blamed the General Public on the issue of printing wrong postal address on the NPR Card covers.
Talking exclusively with Andaman Sheekha, the Deputy Director, Directorate of Census Operations, Mr. Yesodharn M.K said that it was mistake from the side of general public that they did not mention their full address because of which the whole discrepancy in distribution of the cards has surfaced.
Andaman Sheekha had recently reported that how difficult it has become for the Postal Department to deliver the NPR cards to general public as on the cover of most of the NPR cards, untraceable address has been printed.
When we questioned about blunders in printing data of pubic on NPR cards and corrections that need to be done for some card holders he informed Andaman Sheekha that the corrections can be done while linking the Aadhar number with the NPR cards. He said that process of linking Aadhar number with NPR Card will begin from 22nd November 2013 in South Andaman area.
The Deputy Director of Census Operations, Mr. Yesodharn M.K also requested the general public to give their full address while linking the Aadhar number with their NPR cards to facilitate the delivery of the cards to the house of the card holder.
May I ask Mr MK Yesodharan about the NPR cards of citizens who have given their address correctly in which till date postal articles have had been arriving?
It is a rubbish, nonsense and ridiculous statement.
