Rangat, Sept 12: In connection with the celebration of Shardha Shati – the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a Marathon ‘Run For the Nation’ (Bharat Jago Dhaud) has been conducted by Ayojak Committee, Rangat on 11th Sept. 2013 at 05.30 am flagged off by the Chief Guest Mr. T. Sebasteen, Dy. Supdt. of Police, Rangat at Rangat Bazaar Jn.near SBI, Rangat in presence of this Committee Mr. C. Kandaswamy, President, Mr. V. Senthil kumar. General Secretary, Smti. Srikala Principal VKV Rangat, Mr. Rangalal Halder, Ex-Pradhan, Dasarathpur, Mr. K. Malaiswamy, Up- Pradhan, Rangat, Mr. Satish Kr. Singh Ex- Pradhan, Rangat and dignitaries – Mr. Sunil Mazumdar, Mr. Sadashivan, Mr. S.N. Sundaram, Mr. C. Nagarajan, Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. Sanjeeb Saha, Mr. R. Kumar were present at the function.
Mr. N.N. Halder { Rtd. Head Master } was the Guest of the Honor on this occasion. Near about 300 Participants including gents and ladies have participated in this marathon. The first position bagged by Mr Vishvajit Mishra and Miss Reena Baxi,Second position went to Mr. Rakal and Miss Reshma Lakra, third position went to Mr Akash and Miss B. Roja and fourth position went to Mr. Vijay Kumar and Miss Namrita Kujur respectively. Consolation prizes were given to 40 participants.
