Port Blair, Aug 08: A newly renovated Photo Gallery ‘Andaman in Olden Days’ was inaugurated today by Shri Anand Prakash ,Chief Secretary, A&N Administration in the premises of the National Memorial Cellular Jail. Smti. Rina Ray, Pr. Secretary (Fin. & Art & Culture), Shri Rakesh Bali, Secretary (Art & Culture) and other senior officers of the Administration along with members of various Committees on the Cellular Jail and cultural personalities attended the function. The gallery consists of an impressive collection of rare archival photographs of Andaman Islands dating from 1864-1945. This renovated Gallery would be an added attraction for the visitors and tourists in the National Memorial.
