Port Blair, August 06: The Annual Conference of Coast Guard Wife Welfare association was held at Port Blair on August 1, 2013 to review the welfare measures adopted by CGWWA at Port Blair and various outlying units. The conference was presided by Mrs. Jyothi Murthy president CGWWA (A&N). In her welcome speech, Mrs. Jyothi Murthy applauded the efforts put in by all the members for good jobs and welfare measure taken during last one year. She also highlighted the fact that welfare measures/ activities like various vocational courses, health and outreach activities have not only benefitted the CG ladies and children but also immensely helped the under privileged of the Society.
During the conference, members put forth their views on ongoing projects and outlined their future plan of action. Agenda Points pertaining to undertake welfare measures in a time bound manner and to enhance the area of interaction outside Coast Guard were also discussed. At the end of the Conference, Mrs. Murthy thanked all the participants and stressed upon the fact that proactive approach with timely planning and execution of various welfare measures like education, health, outreach activities will enable CGWWA to achieve success in all its endeavours, a communication from the Commandant PRO said here.
