Sri Vijaya Puram, November 3: The Directorate of Art & Culture has advised all Government Departments, autonomous bodies, cultural organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) intending to book Andaman Club for conducting functions or programmes to submit their applications at least one week prior to the proposed date of the function/programme, in accordance with Office Order No. 146 dated 27.11.2017.
It has been observed that applications are frequently submitted only one or two days before the scheduled date of the programme, resulting in delays in processing and obtaining approval from the competent authority. All concerned are, therefore, requested to submit their applications well in advance to facilitate timely processing and approval.
The Directorate of Art & Culture has also reiterated the following conditions regarding the cancellation or postponement of bookings:
Prior written intimation: Written intimation regarding the cancellation of a booking or the postponement of a programme must be submitted at least two days before the scheduled date of the function, excluding the date of the function.
Non-compliance with notice period: In cases where the prescribed notice period is not observed, the security deposit shall not be refunded.
Refund in case of timely intimation: Where written intimation of cancellation or postponement is received within the stipulated period, the full security deposit and advance rent paid shall be refunded.
All Government Departments, autonomous bodies, cultural organisations and NGOs are requested to strictly adhere to the above instructions and the terms and conditions stipulated in the aforesaid Office Order to ensure smooth and timely processing of applications for the allotment of Andaman Club.
