Sri Vijaya Puram, October 29: The Andaman Nicobar Islands Rural Livelihood Mission, under the aegis of the Directorate of Rural Development, will be organising a grand Deepawali SHG Mela at the Marina Park stretch from tomorrow, October 30, to November 1, from 3 PM to 9 PM.
The festive market will showcase unique creations by women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from across the islands during this Deepawali season. The general public has been requested to come and support the rural SHGs. The festive purchases will empower local artisans and strengthen rural livelihoods.
