Sri Vijaya Puram, October 28: The Election Commissioner for UTs, in exercise of the powers conferred under Articles 243-K and 243-ZA, read with Section 185 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Panchayats) Regulation, 1994, and Section 32 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Municipal) Regulation, 1994, has decided that the last electoral rolls of the Panchayats and the Municipal Council, revised/updated in August 2025, may be taken as mother-rolls for the updation/revision of rolls for the forthcoming general elections to the Panchayats and the Municipal Council, as per the following schedule:
Preparation of draft electoral rolls: from today to Friday, October 30.
Printing of draft rolls: from Saturday, October 31, to Monday, November 2.
Publication of rolls in draft: Tuesday, November 3.
Period for lodging suggestions and objections: from Tuesday, November 3, to Tuesday, November 17.
Disposal of suggestions and objections: by Thursday, November 19.
Preparation and printing of electoral rolls: from Friday, November 20, to Monday, November 23.
Final publication of electoral rolls: Tuesday, November 24.
