Sri Vijaya Puram, October 26: On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Maharishi Valmiki, the Lieutenant Governor, Dr. Dinesh Sharma, today paid floral tributes to the portrait of Maharishi Valmiki at Lok Niwas, Sri Vijaya Puram, along with members of the Valmiki community residing in the Islands. He remembered the great sage’s ideals, thoughts and remarkable contributions.
He said that the life of Maharishi Valmiki and his immortal epic, the Ramayana, continue to inspire us to follow the path of truth, righteousness, good conduct and humanity.
On the occasion, Mr. Ajay Kumar Valmiki, Mr. Kiran Raj Singh, Mr. Gopi Chand, Mrs. Mamta and other dignitaries were present.
