Sri Vijaya Puram, October 26: The Lieutenant Governor, A&N Islands, Dr. Dinesh Sharma, today reviewed in detail the presentation on the proposed edition of the annual Island Tourism Festival, organised by the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), at Lok Niwas, Sri Vijaya Puram.
During the review, the Lieutenant Governor directed the Tourism Department to organise the festival on a grander, more attractive and larger scale than in previous years, with the aim of effectively showcasing and promoting the rich cultural heritage, unique natural beauty and immense tourism potential of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Chief Secretary, Mr. Gyanesh Bharti; the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Tourism); the Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor; the Secretary (Information, Publicity & Tourism) and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
