Sri Vijaya Puram, October 25: In response to the newspaper report regarding the growth of plants and bushes on the rooftop of Government Primary School, Korangnallah, under Harinagar Panchayat, North and Middle Andaman, the matter was brought to the notice of the Lieutenant Governor, A&N Islands.
Acting promptly on the directions of the Lieutenant Governor, the Education Department initiated necessary action through the Principal/DDO of the concerned school. The school staff, with the assistance of the Junior Engineer, APWD, Badamnallah, undertook the trimming of nearby tree branches and thorough cleaning of the school rooftop.
The Education Department remains committed to ensuring a clean, safe and conducive learning environment for students and will continue to take prompt action on matters concerning the upkeep and maintenance of school infrastructure.
