Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 13: The two-day Block-Level Inclusive Sports Meet for Children with Special Needs (CwSN), organised by the Block Project Office (BPO), Little Andaman, under Inclusive Education, Samagra Shiksha, concluded successfully on October 9, 2026, at PM SHRI GMSSS Hutbay Ground.
The inaugural ceremony on October 8 was graced by Dr. Samresh Dey, Medical Officer (Ayurveda), as Chief Guest, and Smt. B. Albakka, Mukhiya Sevika, ICDS Hutbay, as Guest of Honour. The event commenced with a march past and oath-taking ceremony by the students, followed by various sports activities for elementary-level students.
The closing ceremony on October 9 was graced by Smt. Bandana Chakraborty, Executive Engineer, APWD, as Chief Guest, and Mr. Shekhar Rai, Block Development Officer holding additional charge of Tehsildar, Hutbay, as Guest of Honour.
Students participated enthusiastically in various sporting events and were awarded medals in recognition of their achievements. The meet promoted inclusion, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship, highlighting the importance of equal opportunities for children of all abilities.
The programme concluded with appreciation for the students, parents, teachers, and organising team for their active participation and support in making the event a success.
