Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 30: The Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad South Andaman, Mr. P. Ummer, along with the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad South Andaman, Mr. Rajanish Singh, IAS, Mr. A. Ummer, Zilla Parishad Member, Wimberlygunj, other ZPMs and PRI representatives, and a team of Engineering officials, inspected the site of the proposed construction of a shed at the burial ground in Ward No. 2, Wimberlygunj, on 27th September 2026.
The construction work has already been awarded and the work is yet to commence at the site. During the inspection, the Adhyaksh took stock of the site conditions and discussed the proposed work with the officers and local PRI representatives.
The Adhyaksh directed the engineering officials to ensure that the work is taken up without further delay and that all necessary preliminary requirements are completed promptly so that the construction can commence at the earliest. He also stressed that the work should be executed strictly as per the approved estimate and specifications, while maintaining quality, durability and proper workmanship.
He further directed the concerned officials to closely monitor the progress of the work and ensure that the facility is completed within the stipulated time for the benefit and convenience of the local residents.
