Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 28: Continuing its intensified anti-narcotics drive, N&MA District Police seized approximately 250 grams of suspected ganja in two separate operations by PS Diglipur, resulting in the arrest of two persons under the NDPS Act, 1985.
In the first operation, police intercepted a suspect in Shyam Nagar and in the second operation, police intercepted another suspect near Subashgram, Laxmipur.
Both accused were arrested, and further investigation is underway to trace the source of the contraband and identify other persons involved.
N&MA District Police remains committed to a zero-tolerance approach towards drug trafficking. Intelligence-led operations and stringent legal action will continue across the district.
The public is urged to report drug-related activities through 100 or 112 or the nearest police station. Informants’ identities will be kept confidential, and suitable rewards will be provided for actionable information.
