
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 28: A review meeting to assess the preparedness for the NEET-PG-2026 examination, scheduled to be conducted on 30.08.2026, was held today under the chairmanship of Ms. Purva Garg, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, at the Conference Hall, District Office.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Shweta K. Sugathan, IPS, Superintendent of Police (District), South Andaman, along with all Nodal Officers, Centre In-Charges and Executive Magistrates deployed at the examination centres, besides senior officers of various line departments concerned with the conduct of the examination.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner undertook a detailed review of the arrangements put in place at all four examination centres, namely Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Dollygunj; SIS Computer Education, Middle Point; and India Technology, Clock Tower and emphasized the importance of close inter-departmental coordination, effective supervision and prompt resolution of any issues that may arise.
Various aspects relating to the smooth, secure and orderly conduct of the examination were deliberated upon in detail, with particular emphasis on ensuring uninterrupted power supply, availability and operational readiness of DG sets, adequate security arrangements, health and medical support, proper installation and functioning of CCTV surveillance systems, reliable internet connectivity and other essential amenities at the examination centres.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers to ensure that the requisite arrangements are fully operational and that appropriate contingency measures are put in place well in advance. The officers were further advised to maintain close coordination and remain vigilant throughout the examination process to facilitate its seamless, secure and hassle-free conduct.
