Harinagar, August 23: Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar, held a meeting with Er. Prijith Rekh, Chief Engineer, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, on August 20, 2026, to discuss key infrastructure and developmental issues affecting residents of the Gram Panchayat. During the meeting, the Pradhan raised several concerns related to expediting public works, improving rural connectivity and addressing pending civic infrastructure requirements in the area.
He also informed the Chief Engineer that the Director of Education has sanctioned Rs. 1.4 crore for the repair and maintenance of the GMS Billyground school building and requested him to direct the concerned Executive Engineer to immediately float the tender so that the work could commence at the earliest.
The Chief Engineer patiently heard the issues and proposals raised by the Pradhan and assured him that necessary action would be taken to address the concerns and expedite the school tender process in a time-bound manner. Mr. Manojit Halder expressed his gratitude to the Chief Engineer for his positive response and commitment towards the development and welfare of the residents of Harinagar.
